| By now, you should have received a brochure detailing all of the exciting
activities and speakers lined up for this years HR Florida 23rd Annual
Conference and Exposition. If you have not, please check out our website at hrflorida.org
for all the details, including the registration process. Your chapter may also have extra
copies of the brochure as well. Changing
Times
Changing Strategies is this years theme for the conference and we are
setting the pace! As evidenced by our brochure, were determined to make this the
best and most comprehensive HR conference youll attend this year.
Hopefully, youve
already marked your calendars and have sent in your registration.
Who should attend?
Human Resource
executives, managers and practioners; quality, service and training professionals seeking
new ideas and renewed enthusiasm for their profession. These changing times require,
changing strategies!
Certified PHR & SPHR
Professionals seeking recertification credits. (Keith Greene, SPHR will be conducting
several highly interactive sessions!)
Line managers and
executives who want to strengthen their leadership skills and/or attract, develop and
retain their employees.
You will hear from some of
the very best in the human resources field. Topics will include benefits, how to conduct
research, labor law, leadership, how to make the Fortune 100 Best Places to Work list,
PEOs, disabilities, and, customer service just to name a few!
Our speakers come from a wonderful
cross-section of companies: JM Family Enterprises (one of Fortune magazines Best
Places to Work), Fannie Mae, Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream (I hope they give out
samples!), Marriott, SRA (another Best Places to Work winner), Allan Weitzman
always rated tops and the Center for Creative Leadership. Keynotes include the Vice
President of Human Resources for the Bellagio in Las Vegas and the incoming Chair of the
Florida Commission on Human Relations.
We have workshops planned on the latest
in employment law, how to create a successful referral program, best practices from
employers who have seen the benefits of hiring people with disabilities, ethical issues in
human resources, multi-rater feedback tools, professional employer organizations (PEOs)
and everything you ever wanted to know about being a HR consultant!
We will also have special Student Sessions
which include a workshop on Power Networking and understanding what it takes
to be a HR manager.
Of course after working hard all day
learning the latest in human resources practices, join us for a Key West Sunset at
SeaWorld. We will have close animal encounters at this sunset celebration. You will surely
be entertained.
Our sponsors and exhibitors are lining up,
however, we are always looking for more! So, if you know someone who would like exposure
to a very targeted group of human resource professionals, please have them call Tim Smith
at 561/567-4361. For exhibitor information contact Cindy Jameson, PHR at 727/431-8552.
Hope to see all of you in October! |
