| As President of SHRM/ECC, I look forward to serving the membership and to the
continued growth of the organization in 2000. Under the
leadership of Jim Miller in 1999, we accomplished our goals to provide a forum for HR
Professional Development for chapter members and guests; to financially support the SHRM
foundation; to provide funding to |
support Board members to attend SHRM sponsored activities; to increase
awareness of Diversity issues; to provide a variety of interesting programs for members
and guests; to develop a budget to assist in chapter resource management; maintain
National affiliation requirements; and to continue our MERIT AWARD STATUS.
Additionally, we now have our own website at www.shrm-emeraldcoast.org |
and we are linked with National at www.shrm.org.
We joined with the Greater Pensacola Chapter and conducted a certification study group for
members and nonmembers, and developed our own Scholarship Award.
